| Celina was born on June 9th 1981 in Kabul, Afghanistan to a Punjabi Kashmiri father and an Afghani mom. Celina was raised as a Hindu. Celina has a brother, who is serving in the Indian army. Celina shot to fame when she won the Miss India- Universe crown in 2001. At the Miss Universe competition she was the semi-finalist. As a reigning Miss India, Celina got many Bollywood movie offers; she signed Feroz Khan’s ‘Janasheen’ as her debut movie, but ‘Khel’ was her first movie to be released. In ‘Janasheen’, Celina tried to recreate the 70’s Zeenat Aman era and got tagged as a sex symbol. Celina also made news when she started dating Hollywood star John Cusack’s Brother Bill Cusack. After being physically harassed by a fan in Mauritius, Celina has hired personal bodyguards. Celina won a lot of appreciation for her role in ‘No Entry’.
